Cracked Seams In A Southern Maryland Family Home's Kitchen Ceiling

As you can see in the before picture, the seams in this family's kitchen ceiling drywall had begun to crack. When we got the call, the owners believed that there was no water damage and were confused as to why the seams were cracking. We sent our experts out to take a look and determined that indeed there was no water damage present. Which then lead to the question of why this happened.

As our construction manager began to talk to the owners and revealed that there had been a couple water damages in that location in the past. It was then determined that the cause of the cracked seams was due to the amount of water damage that had been there in the past and could have caused the drywall to sag.

Our construction crew spent the day removing existing tap, prepping area for new dry wall tap and worked towards completion of the dry wall repair in preparation for final painting.

When the owners saw the finished job, they were extremely pleased that their kitchen ceilings were back to normal.
