According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention it is important to wear a cloth face masks during these unpreceded times while you are in public. Wearing a cloth face mask in public will help slow the spread of the virus especially in areas where there is a significant amount of community transmission.
SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert Counties being a locally owned and operated business, they have a strong relationship with the community and care greatly about their people's safety and health. To show their support during the difficult and scary time, SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert Counties has started collecting a variety of fabric and elastic to use to create mask that will be donated back out to the community.
It is important to note that although these masks can help prevent the spread, they are not a cure and should be washed regularly! Throwing them in the washer machine with normal detergent will properly wash them. It is also important to avoid touching your face while putting on the mask as well as taking it off and to wash your hands immediately after.
SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert Counties is making a variety of sizes. The main ones being Adult Medium (6x11) and Adult Large (7x12), with also a smaller portion of Adult Small (5x10) and kid's ones. There are multiple different patterns that will hopefully bring some color and smiles to someone's day!
We are all in this together and together we can do anything! SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert Counties hopes everything is safe and healthy during this difficult time.
